JUCY found us before we managed to get lost

​In late 2016 I came across the Rebelle Rally, an all female, all navigational off-road rally.  I shared the link with friends becasue it was interesting, not expecting one of them to reply “Let's do it”.

We joked about how absurd it would be to enter and what could possibly go wrong with our obvious lack of experience.  The banter continued as these exchanges do, but realistically we simply were not prepared to race across the west coast of America in this grand adventure.  Maybe next year.  

But interest persisted.  On a good day the pros outweighed the cons, what an amazing opportunity this could be.  A little more research uncovered the skills needed could be learned and that the Rebelle catered to all levels of experience, even novices like us.  We knew every year would pose a new excuse why we should not, could not, would not, enter. So we took to plunge and went all in!

Now with less than three months until the race kicks off in Reno Nevada…

We are in a mad dash to prepare for the race.  The learning curve is steep.

• We swing from terror, worried about our lack of experience to childlike excitement about the adventure and challenges ahead.  
• We have fallen into the arms of the team at OEX (Overland Experts) a 4x4 training facility who have taken us under their wing to prepare us for the off-road challenges.
• We are turning our focus to Navigational skills, they scare us the most.  
• And MOST SURPRISING to us JUCY a company that prides itself on taking the scenic route and relishing the wrong turns in life has backed us.   

WE ARE RACING IN A RALLY AND WE HAVE A REAL SPONSOR!  REALLY, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
